SOUTH AFRICAN COMPLIANCE CONTEXT
ComfortGuard 360™ is delivered in South Africa. Each assessment and maintenance scope is considered against the South African legislation, standards, approved designs and municipal requirements applicable to that site and item of equipment.
Maintenance and site activities are planned with regard to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the safety requirements applicable to the work being performed.
Refrigeration and air-conditioning work involving pressure equipment is assessed against the applicable South African Pressure Equipment Regulations and incorporated standards.
Where applicable, inspection and technical recommendations consider the South African safety requirements for refrigerating systems, including plant associated with air-conditioning systems.
Ventilation-related work is considered in the context of Part O of the application of the National Building Regulations, together with the approved project design and local-authority requirements.
Electrical installation matters identified during HVACR work are referred for compliant attention in accordance with the applicable South African wiring requirements.
Refrigerant-gas work that requires an authorised practitioner and Certificate of Conformity is handled within the practitioner’s registered scope and applicable South African requirements.
Not every standard applies to every system. The final proposal identifies the work included, the responsible discipline and any certificates or specialist appointments required. References on this page do not replace a site-specific engineering design, statutory inspection or Certificate of Conformity.
